Renovation and advanced technologies enable prompt, accurate diagnosis and treatment
BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (June 2007) Brigham City Community Hospital has established a state-of-the art imaging center that features some of the most advanced diagnostic equipment available today. The approximately $1.5 million upgrade includes extensive renovations, which will further improve patient care and comfort during exams, tests and emergency procedures.
We have significantly enhanced our ability to diagnose and treat patients quickly and precisely, said Mark B. Adams, chief executive officer at
A variety of innovative technologies have been implemented or updated to improve the quality and safety of patient care at the hospital. The nuclear medicine scanner helps to detect cardiac disease, a 16-slice Cat Scan enables assessment of trauma damage, diseases and internal abnormalities and the 3-D image guidance system augments a surgeons skills during computer-assisted procedures.
Additionally, an advanced ultrasound enhances diagnostic capabilities during a broad-spectrum of patient examinations and allows expectant parents to see their developing baby in remarkably clear, 4-D detail. Clinicians can easily view diagnostic images within the hospital or at remote locations via the real-time picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
